About this listen

Martin Luther (1483 - 1546) is one of the most famous figures of the last 500 years. He was a monk and theologian who proved to be the pivotal figure of Protestant Reformation. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1507 but later came to reject several teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, nailing his 95 Theses of 1517 to the church doors. He was excommunicated by the pope and started what has become one of the largest sects of Christianity. In this tell-all book, Rev. Patrick F. O'Hare gives the Catholic perspective of Luther and the reformation, a classic work from the early 20th century.

“By their fruits you will know them”

Hear Luther in his own words… Not what Contemporary Evangelical Preachers distill out of his teachings. On my journey back to the church, I’ve come to recognize I MUST not be afraid to turn over every rock of curiosity and concern. Not to be fearful of being lead astray and trust that TRUTH will always be able to stand up to false teachings. In this journey I’ve recognized I need to not exclusively read/listen to well curated commentary about the great reformers, but hear them in their own words. This book lead me to others.. specifically Luther’s original works on the Jews, Papacy, and bondage of the will.. You will know them by their fruits. The erratic, prideful, arrogant, and misguided theology of Luther clearly displayed in this book will force any honest Christian to look deeper into the foundation of the Protestant Reformation. In this work, the Author compiled Luther’s own writings as well as those of other Reformers and non-Catholic sources.

horrible audio

It's a good book, with a good narrator but the audio is horrible. This makes it hard to listen to.
