Publisher's summary

Wedding fever has hit the little town of Marietta....

Lisa Renee loves weddings. As owner of Marietta's bridal salon, Lisa takes charge when a celebrity wedding rolls into town and does what she does best: hosting the fairy tale wedding her clients dream of. But the celebrity's badly behaving bridesmaids shatter Lisa's poise, excitement, and hopes of putting Marietta and her boutique on the map. The only place she can find peace is on the pediatric ward of the local hospital where she volunteers, a place that holds more meaning to her than anyone knows. Leave it to the handsome and charming new doctor to change all of that....

Dr. Adam Brady is enjoying his new job and anonymity at Marietta's hospital, but he hasn't been able to focus entirely since the gorgeous business owner and hard-working volunteer piqued his interest. As he spends more time with her, sparks fly, and he realizes that he's not the only one in Marietta with secrets....

Cute story

For a short story this one is good. A kind of corny one but still good

Just not for me

I think the narrator did an admirable job. The story could have been a cute one but just wasn’t. Sorry but I skipped about half of the book. Just not for me.

A few mispronunciations

Speaker/reader of story should have been told that PEDS is short for Pediatrics. She kept saying peds - like the ankle sock, not Peeds with the long vowel pronunciation.

I thought it was good

I thought the story line was good. Some mistakes by narrator but who doesn’t.

But what happened with the wedding she was doing the dress for? You didn’t finish her story line??? How did it go? Did it effect her business?

Stereotypical, sappy, boring without storyline

Ugh & Yuck! Doesn't do justice to the many other Marietta Montana tales.
Basically, it's a poorly written description of how a lecherous young doctor and a neurotic woman who ruminate on every negative moment of her past. Everything is expected... Hollywood vs. small-town prejudices, gold diggers, and ghosts of the past fears. There are no feelings evoked from these characters. They are predictable & one dimensional. There is no romance, just his lust and her insecurities. And what's worse is there is only a bit of forseplay (badly written) the cut past the actual sex scene to the mornings after. It's truly awful! Hard pass!!

Disappointed

Got drawn in and 3/4 of the way through there was unnecessary sexual content

Boring with a Side of Dumb

This was one of the most boring, nothing to read here, books I’ve ever tried to read. I kept thinking it might get better but it never did. When I skipped 6 chapters to get to the end, it had no redeeming quality there either. Then to make it just a little worse, I’m guessing author never listen to the audiobook’s reading by Mia Gaskin. When your narrator is reading about the “pediatric” ward in a hospital and calls it “PEDS” with a short e instead of “PEEDS” as anyone with a brain knows it’s called, I was more than done. Dumbest mispronunciation I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard a lot of them. Skip this book. No reason to waste your time. I did so you don’t have to.

Reader was not great

Reader mispronounced a few things which is distracting. Male character voicing is not good. Story was cute but disjointed. Lacks character and storyline development.

are there any young people in the world today who actually believe the concept of sex without the benefit of marriage is fornication? and that is against God's law? makes me sad.

Pouty princess

I can't tell you how much I despise pouty little heroines. Contrived angst. Stupid dialog. Terrible!
