About this listen

Asher has returned. After a decade of relative peace, Sarai leads Zion West as Prime Servant. Asher commands its army against the growing threats of Zion East's burgeoning military as Renatus's power continues to grow. But when Renatus finds out Asher and Sarai's son has the same genetic disorder as his wounded prince, he kidnaps him for his LifeCell in an effort to resurrect his own son. As Sarai and The Defiance are ousted in a coup orchestrated by her father, Asher does everything in his power to save their son.

Meanwhile, Cephas and Jude face their own challenges as they embark on a dangerous trek across the ocean in an attempt to rearm The Defiance. But a new menace looms. Protocol has grown even more sinister, as has Renatus's latest ally: Legion's brother, Apex.

The Fall
delves into a darker narrative, providing deeper insight into the characters and the origins of The Wall. It is a fast-paced, clean YA dystopia that is ideal for fans of Red Rising and The Hunger Games.

What a ride! The Fall: Book 2 by Brian Penn is absolutely gripping from start to finish. Just when you think you've got it figured out, Penn masterfully pulls you in deeper, taking your imagination on a journey you never saw coming. The twists are brilliant, the pacing is spot-on, and the emotional depth of the story leaves a lasting impact.

Both narrators deliver phenomenal performances—every word carries weight, every pause holds meaning. You can feel the tension, the heartache, and the hope in their voices. Their inflection and emotion elevate the story to another level.

This series just keeps getting better. I couldn't stop listening, and now I can't wait to hear when book 3 will be here. Brian Penn has crafted something truly special.
