About this listen

A semi-fictional warning told in Police vignettes.
In the wilderness, any hunter with any common sense knows the rule. If you do not represent a threat, the animals, even the predators, will leave you alone. If you must interface with them, you have to understand that they do not trust mankind and their hackles rise, forcing a violent confrontation. The hunter does not always win that fight.
Now, replace the 'Hunter' with 'Police Officer' and the 'predators' are those people who do not have their civilized behavior as containment walls in place, so the animal is loose. But unfortunately, the walls come down not only with attitude, but with drugs and alcohol, even domestic violence. And the Police Officer may not have a chance to understand it.
Complacency kills. Overreaction finds the news, and careers are killed, too. This book covers the time frame when respect was prominent, through the period where it slid away, replaced by fear. Not the answer, but the warning...
