Publisher's summary

Sir David the Bard, or David, was an ex-temple worker for the Mormon Church. Being an active member for 50 years, he married six times and bore 13 children while completing nearly two masters' degrees at BYU. This is a compilation of his rants, raves, funny stories, and crazy experiences being an ex-Mormon in a totally dominant Mormon society. His views may seem unbelievable, but they are actually true and really happened to him. His stories are unique, funny, and crazy as only Sir David the Bard can tell them.

Real Down to earth, Crazy But Funny Read

If you could sum up The First Book of David: An Ex-Temple Worker's Experiences in the Mormon Church over 50 Years in three words, what would they be?

Crazy but good!

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how the author used real life experiences to breach some real thought provoking subjects that got you thinking. Its funny and serious at the same time and given by a man who admits he himself is crazy but wants everyone to understand some of the nutty ins and outs of the Mormon Church. Written from a place of self healing and understanding he strives to help others heal through his own words and crazy stories while making others laugh at the same time.

Which character – as performed by Michael Goldsmith – was your favorite?

The wife that painted herself green

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes absolutely! Its quick and fun.

Any additional comments?

The language in this book may be a little choppy because it was transcribed off of live video. If you can get past that and just relax you can learn a great deal about the Mormon Church and have some fun laughing about everything at the same time. The subjects are serious but the presentation can be hilarious..

Honest Funny and Perfect Timing

The person narrating this book was superb. I laughed out loud multiple times which was delightful and shocking as my laughter caught me off guard. A sign of healing I suppose. Such a great book for a recovering exmormon or any one wanting to know the truth regarding the Mormon Church.

Horrible book full of non truths.

This book is obviously fiction. The authors fact can not be substantiated. Something happened and he has an axe to grind. He should be prosecuted for defamation of and organization and its leadership.
