About this listen

Berlitz Kids' The Five Crayons is the introduction to the Adventures with Nicholas series. Featuring easy German vocabulary and simple sentences, this story teaches colors, numbers from one to ten, rooms and furniture, animals, weather expressions, means of transportation, location words, and more. The 60-minute program offers a catchy, thematically related song for each chapter. Listen to the audio story and sing along with each of the songs: it's a fun learning experience for students, parents, or teachers.Download the accompanying booklet.©1998 Berlitz Publishing Company, Inc. My daughter loves it, especially the songs. We've listened to it weekly for 3 months on the way to school. It is a steal for the price. You can buy the accompanying picture-filled book on Amazon - the pictures are nice for kids, so this is worth doing. I only wish Berlitz had more of these foreign language books for kids!

My kids like it. It's simple, and they speak slowly, repeating the theme words so they sink in, and then there is a vocabulary lesson in english AFTER they present the story in German.

HOWEVER, they refer to a book with pictures that does not appear to be available for download; there is a link for an accompanying booklet, but this is just a word doc with translations (I presume for parents that don't speak German).

I think this should be downloadable as well because the pictures would aid the learning significantly.
