About this listen
Hundreds die in a fiery train crash in northern China. A cargo ship smuggling refugees is lost to calm seas off the Libyan coast. Entire villages in Ghana are abandoned overnight.
Contracted by an apocalypse prepper group to investigate a series of seemingly disconnected global tragedies, a young medical investigative reporter, Angelique de l'Enfantine, uncovers a disturbing pattern to the tragedies. Are they harbingers of an impending biblical catastrophe? Or practice runs by a fanatical organization bent on global annihilation?
Requiring no more than the slightest skin-to-skin contact, the Flense spread across the globe with ruthless speed and stealth, decimating mankind in days. The infected, ruthless creatures called Wraiths, destroy anyone and anything in their path. Secure inside 10 isolated bunkers are Humanity's tattered remains, each working tirelessly to unravel the mystery of the scourge. But the bunkers were never meant to protect forever. In fact, they were never meant to protect at all.

Story
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. Well done suspenseful tale
This is the second of a twelve part series, and it assumes that you have already read or heard the first installment. This portion of the story is suspenseful and rather hard to put down. Like the previous part, it finishes with a cliffhanger. The end of this story comes at a good point where the reporter is beginning to unravel the mystery, and the reader is starting to appreciate the scope of the problem and cares about what will happen next. I look forward to part 3.
The work sometimes suffered from dialog that used a lot of pronouns without being clear about whom the pronouns referred to. Similarly, the narrator at times did not read different characters with sufficiently different voices, making it hard to tell who was saying which lines in a dialog. These were both rare and minor issues interfering with enjoying an otherwise good tale.

Stay Tuned for the Next Exciting Chapter!
Don't even THINK about reading this without having read episode 1, which ended in a cliff-hanger, as does this one. I've been listening to the AUDIO and it is well narrated and as exciting as listening to an old radio serial. This tautly scripted thriller pits the abilities of a doctor turned medical journalist against a plethora of disasters. It is hard to tell the good guys from the bad and everyone has an agenda. I am already actively listening to episode 3 . . .

You'll want the next one before you finish
This is part two of the twelve part serial and it picks up right where the last one left off, with Angelique trying to put all the puzzle pieces together even though she doesn't have all the pieces yet, and she has a gun to her head.
This story is one to suck you in and never let you go until it feels like it. With Narrator Doug Greene reading it, it is even worse, he has all the characters down pat and he is so good at this you just loose yourself between his voice and Mr. Tanpepper's story you don't have a chance but to get sucked in and want more and more like a audio junkie. All the action and twist and turns, who is spying on who and working for who. All I can say is thank goodness there are twelve of these to keeps us going for a while, because you will want the next one before you finish the one you have.
