About this listen

Boredom has set in for Joey, Katrina, Dustin, and Brian. After years of the same shit different day in their town of Glendora, they decided it was time to get a new and exciting hobby, ghost hunting.

Unfortunately for them, they didn’t know their town has dark secrets. What they thought would be a fun adventure, takes a turn for the worse.

Friends having fun partying, while seeking adventure in the paranormal, fall into a downward spiral of horrific events.

The “Pioneer Cemetery” is the original cemetery of the town’s founders, where it begins and ends.

A group of young adults are bored with their routine of getting together to drink, eat and watch horror movies. So, they decide to delve into ghost hunting! What could possibly go wrong? Little do they know that their hometown is the site of a bizarre cult centered in the local Pioneer Cemetery! The story moves at a fast pace and there is plenty of horror and gore.

However, I did get a bit tired of the lengthy descriptions of their drives through town (maybe if I was a local to the area it would have been more enjoyable). Also, so many descriptions of what foods they ordered from the local eateries and what they were drinking every time they got together! Also, the ending felt a little rushed to me and not very believable.

The narrator did a good job and kept the story moving. All in all, a fun read, but I think it could have been better with more historical background. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author.
