Publisher's summary

This is the story of one woman's life-long interaction with beings from another world, and her journey to go beyond the fear to find meaning and purpose. In this book she explores the abduction experience and shares with you the three important things they insisted she learn.

"This is my story. I cannot prove any of it. For years I was encouraged to write about these experiences, but I resisted. This is not an easy story for me to write, and it might not be easy for you to read or believe. I understand that... This book is not only a recounting of my experiences but also the story of how I discovered that, like most things, it is possible to turn the worst thing in your life into something positive just by choosing to look at it from a different perspective." -from the author.

mental illness

The book is entertaining. The reader does a very decent job. The story is put together well and the conclusion wraps up her religion very neatly. Again good entertainment. Under scrutiny obvious mental illness. No spoilers by discussing y. Enjoy the book.

An important read for everyone.

I am so grateful to have been led to this book. This dramatic story is very well told. I listened to the audio book version in 2 days, it was that compelling. After my own experiences with an assortment of sitings, and a knowing that it had to do with my planetary service, I feel this author's personal story really wove together many faucets of my own life. I feel that her understanding of the transformation taking place on this planet is important for all to become aware of. Thank you Sherry Wilde!

Withhold judgment till last two hours

Any additional comments?

The first third of the book dwells too much on feelings. The second third gets into the nitty-gritty of the impact on the author's life due to many external things. The final third gets into some new ground and is worth the effort to reach. This title is very much worthwhile because it tries to build a complete circle of cause and effect in a distinct manner.

Eye opening

This story is really amazing and shows what we have forgotten living on earth and not as spiritual beings. I really enjoyed listening to this person story and I'm glad that she has shared it with the world.

Great sharing of personal experiences

Would you listen to The Forgotten Promise again? Why?

Yes. This book is exactly as the author says it is in the beginning- it is a retelling of the experiences of her life, as if you were sitting on the couch together talking about it. I liked it and although there was some jumping around of events, I don't think there was any way to avoid that, given the scenario. I appreciate her sharing, and it gave me comfort and companionship to experiences I've had in my own life.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The sharing of all of her emotions, reactions and conclusions over time with her experiences. There are a lot of things going on around us and within us that we don't all see.

What does Jonna Kae Volz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the reader was particularly good. She really conveyed the emotion of the story. I had to look halfway through to see if it was the author reading or not, and it was hard to remember that this was not in fact the author reading it. She was very good.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It opened my eyes to a lot of things and made me feel comforted.

Mind Expansion

I don't know if this book is fiction, non-fiction, or a mixture of both. If you have enough of an open mind to think about what is written in this book, it can expand your mind. if you are a person who is very set in their beliefs and ways, you probably will not enjoy thinking about the subject matter of this book as I have.
