Please Do A Mini-series!

Joan Vassar's Black Saga deserves TV time. You can't help but to fall in love with all the characters . Thank you for such a detailed depiction of life... mixing fiction with historical facts is beautiful, not to mention the romance.

The Best not the last

I have loved this entire series. It gave you everything love, romance, laughter, sadness, fear, faith and encouragement. Please Don’t let this be the last of the series. And Jakobi made this series more than what it was and he deserves an award of some sort for all these voices he embodied with such character and individuality.

One of the Best series Ever

Five Books =Five outstanding literary works of art. The Fort was excellent and left me wanting more. I know Joan sees this last entry to the series as the end but I hope she becomes inspired to continue the story of the people of the Fort, Black Town and what they experienced during reconstruction. Also want an update on all the couples. Outstanding narration by Jakobi Diem as well!

An epic end to extraordinary ending

I must say I had to be pushed to start this series. I love period pieces, but I'm a visual person. I convinced myself that I could not get into this series without watching it. Boy, was I wrong! First off, Jakobi. Never a dull moment! Always deliver, and he out did himself. Ms Joan, WOW!!! This series was EVERYTHING!! I bing the whole week because I had to know what was going to happen next. I truly don't want this series to end.

Unique Collection

As I arrived at book 5 of this unique, amazing, beautiful, and Black Historical Mind-blowing Series, I am still in awe. I learned so much, appreciated so many things written, implied, and illustrated with words of descriptive power. Romance, loyalty, strength, community, betrayal, boldness, adoration, and authentic agape love were ever so present. This series is undeniable, Black Excellence! There truly are not enough words to express how much I enjoyed not only this book, but the entire series!
Jakobi Diem did an outstanding narration & enactment of every single one of the characters. There was never a moment where I was confused by what character was speaking. The consistent enthusiasm was felt throughout.
Joan Vassar has a new fan in me fa life!! I will debate a few thangs, but I loved everything! Her imagination is brilliance!

I don't want it to end...

Trouble comes to the gates of the fort my way of a bloody carriage. When Black finds out what happened, he knew he had to ride out to rectify the situation and take care of who did this. This time Black stayed back and let Elbert leave them. When things go bad, the 22 regroup and fix the problem. So much happened in this book and it showed me that the 22 was not a group of men to play with. This ending to this phenomenal series was well written and answered every question I had. This series has blessed my life.
Jakobi take a bow, you narrated the hell out of this series!!!

The ENTIRE BLACK SERIES🔥🔥🔥🔥

I will SURELY REVISIT this audio series in the future!! It was amazing from beginning to end and the narration was EXCELLENT!! I normally don't read or listen to books about this subject or timeframe, but I am Forever grateful for the journey this series took me on!! Elbert and Jeremiah surprisingly were my faves...the growth in these two as the series progressed both surprised and intrigued me all at once...BRAVO MS VASSAR!! You have a FAN!!

This book was just as exceptional as it's predecessor's. Joan is a one of a kind storyteller and Jakobi voice takes you on a journey. I was sad when it came to an end. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
