About this listen

The Fourth Mind is the first book ever to explore the anatomy, brains, genetics, beliefs and capabilities of the unknown entities the author refers to as "the visitors." He maintains that they have a set of abilities he describes as a "fourth mind" that include such powers as telepathy, levitation, the ability to move heavy objects without machinery, and many others.

He then shows that there is a rich store of evidence that mankind once possessed these same powers, and that hidden knowledge of them has persisted into the 20th century.

To explore why we lost them and how we can regain them, he takes a dive into the chaotic end of the last ice age when mass extinctions devastated the planet and mankind endured a catastrophe so terrible that it has buried by traumatic amnesia. He shows how it resulted in our loss of these powers, and describes how a forgotten event involving our visitors that took place in 1996 in Brazil holds the key to our recovery of them.

There has never been another book like The Fourth Mind. It marks the beginning of a new way of thinking about who and what we are, and points toward the re-empowerment of mankind as a truly cosmic species.

This book is as important to us in this era, as Communion was to the last century.

If you have been following the author's writing on this topic throughout his career as I have, it is clear that a pinnacle of understanding and clarity of thought has been reached by someone who is genuinely immersed in the phenomena.

The book discusses ideas found in a Reddit document of unknown authorship; Whitley Strieber is able to address the issues the document features, and interpret it in ways that make for truly fascinating reading / listening.

The issue now is, what will we do with this information? Can we get out of our soul blind predicament and survive? Are we going to be able to establish a fruitful relationship with these "midwives"?

A must read

You did it again Whitley. Well researched and organized material, just facinating!
I wonder, are the visitors giving you some information for your books?

Another Fascinating Book by Whitley

I’ve wondered what they eat and if they poop and pee because there is never a mention of a restroom in their vehicles. Maybe they are so advance they dont need to release or just so careful that digestion to them is an animal necessity. It’s a good read that will require multiple passes to fully grasp it’s entirety but it’s rare and a different perspective to add to the phenomenon. It fills a void that checks new boxes to help the sanity with all the insanity in play. It’s an up hill battle. Thank you for your persistence and resilience, real or not we need a slap in the face and stop the ignorance to continue to innovate and achieve more than what we believe and know. We should have flying cars like the jetsons and that hurts cuz how do you think the mongols did it in 1240, an elite strategy of transportation across time zones? It’s worst than suicide to pretend that adversities are less developed than we are when they are ahead. It’s a fight i rather not go into believing so. Call me crazy wont hurt my feelings. The truth will spark the innovation we are at the cusp of!

The missing data

It was concise but leaves you with questions about our origins . It gives several views on what happened many years ago and what may happen next.

It was enlightening

Good story the book speaks for both the Extraterrestrial, and the Human side. A book for even those who know the subject matter.

True experience. In depth Information.

Another fascinating book by one of the foremost thinkers in the world of ufology. We so much need to get beyond our fascination with the hardware and to start looking closely at the occupants of these amazing machines. Who are they, why are they here, and what do they want? We may not be able to figure it all out, at least not at this early phase, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, because so much is at stake. Whitley's latest takes an important step in that direction. A lot of it is based on speculation, but he backs it up with observations about their physiognomy and behavior. We need more books like this.

Much needed

This is the most informative of the authors books, in terms of the bodies of the visitors and the gifts we have lost.

Another excellent book from Whitley!

Profound information regarding the biology and social interactions with NHI. Even better that Whitley Streiber reads the book himself, makes it much more engaging.

Profound & Informative

I really enjoyed this book. I wish there was more info or accounts of the strange, smoking, telepathic hybrids running around—OR—even further details about the grey’s excrements, habits, lives, clothing, everything, etc.. The whole ‘Younger Dryas’ part is interesting, bit of a head-scratcher, don’t know if I fully agree, or not. But I appreciate Whitley’s efforts to get the word out, and assist the visitors in moving this whole mutual interaction period, forward.
I’m also grateful for being introduced to the ‘Telepathy Tapes’ podcast and documentary, as a result of seeing Whitley when he was a guest on a few podcasts, promoting this book—So a big THANKS for that!

Very Interesting—Whitley at his best

In the 4th Mind Strieber wraps on a journey few if any have experienced but all in part understand. With urgent clarity he connects the dots between our unknown past and unwitting future and makes us aware, as only he can, of the latent miracles humanity possesses and the dire need we have to use them if we are to survive.
