Editorial reviews

A traditional and fun-to-sing folk tune about a father fox who ventures out on a crisp night to steal a goose for his family, much to the chagrin of the farmer who owns the animal. Recorded in 1969 (although the song is much older), some of the lyrics might be considered a bit gruesome now, although it's nothing compared to average TV fare. The sound here is excellent, and Molly Scott's voice is very pleasant to hear. A great choice for a sing-a-long with kids.

Utter delight

This rendition of the story delighted me from beginning to end. I especially enjoyed the illustrations.
