Story
Living is very stressful for everyone, and I found in the meditations a little "safe space," that's what I call it. Whenever I can, I like listening to my guided meditations, relaxing and flying...in a different world filled with peace and relaxation. Over the last three years, meditations have been a big part of my life and have helped me a lot in many situations. For this reason, I always thought it would be nice to find something for my children. I like to read them a story every night, but sometimes it's not possible.

Almost everything about Wallace is at odds with the Midwestern university town where he is working uneasily toward a biochem degree. An introverted young man from Alabama, black and queer, he has left behind his family without escaping the long shadows of his childhood. Story
Among the ashes of a dying world, an agent of the Commandment finds a letter. It reads: Burn before reading. Thus begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions. Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, becomes something more. Something epic. Something romantic. Something that could change the past and the future. Except the discovery of their bond would mean the death of each of them. There’s still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win. That’s how war works, right?

Perhaps Blackwood's most celebrated story, The Willows was influenced heavily by his own trips down the Danube River. It tells the story of two campers who pick the wrong place to sleep for the night, a place where another dimension impinges on our own. H.P. Lovecraft considered this the finest supernatural tale in English literature.

I won’t be forced into alien servitude. I’ve spent my life mucking out the houses of the rich and famous. I know what they’re really like. They think they can take whatever they want. I learned that the hard way.

Clever Tale!
Very very punny tale. I loved the concept of a frog and a butterfly falling in love. Emelle does an amazing job switching between the voices and setting a witty and seductive tale. 5 stars all the way!

Disturbing and hilarious
Made me laugh and kept me entertained. Can you really ask a book for more? The narrator's voice adds to the comedy. Definitely a laugh out loud kind of book!
