Publisher's summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
This practical and inspirational guide to healing from the best-selling author of The Choice shows us how to release your self-limiting beliefs and embrace your potential.
The prison is in your mind. The key is in your pocket.
In the end, it's not what happens to us that matters most - it's what we choose to do with it. We all face suffering - sadness, loss, despair, fear, anxiety, failure. But we also have a choice; to give in and give up in the face of trauma or difficulties or to live every moment as a gift.
Celebrated therapist and Holocaust survivor Dr Edith Eger provides a hands-on guide that gently encourages us to change the imprisoning thoughts and destructive behaviours that may be holding us back. Accompanied by stories from Eger's own life and the lives of her patients her empowering lessons help you to see your darkest moments as your greatest teachers and find freedom through the strength that lies within.

Thanks for sharing your gift with the world!
This book stirs up a whirlwind of emotions. But the lessons shared from these stories is riveting and food for thought. This narration was one of the best on audible so far.

Dr Edith - what do I say I’m too overwhelmed after this journey with her. The finale at the Anne Frank house made me weep too. Just how beautiful life can be despite all odds is what I learnt, reaffirmed rather.
It’s not easy to nurture of hope when one almost died at the Auschwitz and here Dr Edith talks of hope from various dimensions. It’s a book worth a few repeats.

Healing and forgiveness
Many of us may not be a holocaust survivor but many of us struggle and are imprisoned by the past. The book ultimately a practical guide of healing, forgiveness and freedom…of the mind.

Worst I have read
Hollow and unauthentic. Repetitive stories and non coherent. No solid ideas. Just a string of quotes.
