In another delightful mystery by Alexie Linn, the solitary Sally's peace is disrupted by a goat knocking at her door. To avoid any issues, she decides to take the goat in. Her robotic companion attempts to communicate with the goat but faces difficulties. At the same time, a deranged woman threatens to demolish the mobile home and pickup truck of Sally's camping guests.
Everything does get sorted out in the end, with the best outcomes for all involved, given the circumstances. It is a wild ride getting there, however. Sally even finds out why the mysterious goat came to visit.
I enjoyed the story, but the narration could use a bit of refinement. There were a few mispronunciations, such as maniacal and plethora, which took my attention away from the plot. Additionally, one character's slow speech was somewhat distracting.
Delightful Mystery
