Is bourbon the quintessential American liquor? Bourbon is not just alcohol - the amber-colored drink is deeply ingrained in American culture and tangled in American history. From the early days of raw corn liquor to the myriad distilleries that have proliferated around the country today, bourbon is a symbol of the United States. This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

Gave Me the Garden I Wanted
I’ve tried and failed at gardening more times than I can admit, but this book actually helped things click. It’s not just about planting stuff—it shows you how to work with your climate, fix common problems, and build something that lasts. The tips on fruit trees and soil health were especially helpful. Everything’s laid out in a way that’s easy to follow, even if you’re not experienced. I finally feel like I’m growing with confidence.

A continuation of helpful ideas
Kent Jameson’s Grinning Gardener 2 is a continuation of the helpful ideas presented in the Grinning Gardener 1, but this time, with an emphasis on nuts and fruit (among many other things). It shines a light on produce that I would love to include in my garden. And not only do we have an emphasis on a variety of produce, but we’re met with powerful strategy for keeping them growing during any season. We’re currently looking at getting some fruit trees, due to the information in this book, and we’re excited to start implementing the lovely planting schedule Jameson has provided. Exciting times!

So excited for this year's harvest!
I’ve always wanted a thriving garden but felt clueless about where to start. This guide completely changed the game for me. The step-by-step tips on growing fruit and nut trees were super practical—I already have a few smaller trees that have started producing some fruit over the last couple of years. Based on the advice and helpful tips in this book I am ready to plan my growing season and plant care starting this Spring! I also loved the advice on organic pest control. Highly recommend it!

empowered, grinning gardener!
I am not a green thumb. I don't have a particularly appealing garden. Every year I'm excited to get into gardening, but I'm too chaotic and unorganized. I also tend to remember. I want a beautiful garden when it's too late in the season or too early. Then I found this book!! I am so excited to have learned ways to manage fruiting trees, shrubs and more despite my clay soil. I didn't realize how much I could accomplish in the off season, either!! With the help of this book - I feel empowered to make real changes and finally have a lovely yard. I am so excited to get started - I AM a grinning gardener! :)

After accidentally murdering three fruit trees and creating what my neighbors politely called an "interesting" landscape, I needed help. So, I approached this audiobook with desperate hope and it exceeded my expectations. The climate-specific advice saved my new apple trees from the fate of their predecessors, and the pest control section helped me wage war against aphids without poisoning the neighborhood cats.
The companion planting strategies transformed my chaotic yard into something that almost looks intentional. My fruit trees are actually fruiting (shocking!), and the perennials keep coming back (even more shocking!).
This book helps you create a garden that thrives despite your previous reputation as a plant hospice. If it helped me, it will help anyone!

I got so much out of this gardening handbook!
I got so much out of this audiobook. I picked up great tips on things like xeriscaping, using season extension tools, and mastering raised bed gardening, along with so many other helpful techniques to level up my gardening game. It’s packed with practical advice and ideas that I can’t wait to try out in my own garden. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with a green thumb, there’s always something new to learn, and this audiobook proves that. I’d totally recommend it to anyone who loves gardening and wants to keep growing their skills.
