Any author that wants to deliver their hard earned written word should NOT allow narration by virtual voice. This actually had a good story but was ruined by the horrible narration. Maybe someday it'll be perfected but until them nothing replaces the human narration.

Thumbs Down for Virtual Voice

The story line works, but thoughts are repeated too many times. Sometimes conversations that could just get to the point or unnecessarily dragged out.

Missed feelings

This is one of the best haunted house novels I have ever listened too. If it were read by a human, I would have given it 5 stars across the board. Virtual voice does not do it justice. An AI, no matter how good, cannot hold a candle to a human narrator. To put it plainly, VIRTUAL VOICE SUCKS! Way to mess up a really awesome story. I would like to continue listening to Marie Wilkens' books, but only if a person narrates them. I do not believe I will ever buy another audiobook read by virtual voice, no matter whom the author is.

Excellent story, bad naration.

I am not a fan of virtual voice audio books, and this was no exception. The story was either written by a bot or a 9-year-old. Many repetitive lines and parts that made no sense. I rolled my eyes so many times. I don't know why I continued to listen other than it was included in my membership, and I didn't want to stop to search for something else. I'm thankful I didn't waste a credit on this and would encourage others not to waste their time.

Childish storyline with no depth
