About this listen

They wanted to go viral — now they’re just hoping to survive….

Tracking Pure Evil — a podcast dedicated to the spooky things that go bump in the night — have put together a team. A team with one sole purpose; to increase their viewership by staying in the truly terrifying Redburn Manor. With over 200 years of bad luck, death, murder, suicides, accidents and absolute terror, they’ve found the perfect place… or so they think.

The goal? Going viral, of course.

At first, the place seems harmless; an old house with exaggerated rumors. Until late in the first day of their four-day ghost hunt when something out of the corner of someone’s eye sends the group into panic mode. And those disembodied voices; are they ghosts? Or something more sinister? Never mind going viral — will they survive their stay? Or will the house swallow them?

This compelling, suspenseful thriller is:

  1. Perfect for fans of Darcy Coates and Jeremy Bates
  2. For lovers of horror, paranormal thrillers and suspense fiction

good

I wasn't expecting it to go this way. You win some, you lose some. I was expecting a different ending. I would have lost this bet. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good, but needed a creepier voice in places.

Great story!

The plot was well thought out. Good and spooky. I enjoy a good haunting.

The narrator over emphasized during conversations, "he/she said". Otherwise she did a nice job.

This book is better read, than listened to.

The story and plot line were pretty good. I was really surprised by the ending. I think the prologue was unnecessary, and would be better included in a full novel (which I would love to read)!
The narration, however, was terrible. It honestly sounded like an automated voice recording. I regret that I didn't read the reviews first. I first heard the first chapter read as a preview while listening to another audio book. That narrator did such an excellent job that I listened to it three separate times. I was disappointed that he didn't do the full book. I ended up purchasing the book and reading it. The book was so much better that way.
I purchased this audio book for $4.99 and this is an honest review.
