About this listen

The trap is set. Failure is not an option.

When government hit man Will Robie is given his next target he knows he’s about to embark on his toughest mission yet. He is tasked with killing one of their own, following evidence to suggest that fellow assassin Jessica Reel has been turned. She’s leaving a trail of death in her wake, including her handler.

The trap is set. To send a killer to catch a killer. But what happens when you can’t trust those who have access to the nation’s most secret intelligence?

I CAN ALMOST GUARANTEE I AM GOING TO ENJOY A BOOK NARRATED BY RON McLARTY AND ORLAGH CASSIDY AND THIS ONE WAS NO DIFFERENT. THE DAVID BALDACCI BOOKS JUST FEEL A CUT ABOUT THE OTHER AUDIO BOOKS. THE CHARACTER OF WILL ROBEY IS MEMORABLE AND I HOPE BALDACCI WILL CONTINUE WITH THIS CHARACTER.

GREAT BOOK , GREAT NARRATION!!

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. The characters are human and you find yourself gunning for them. No unexpected twists or turns but still a really good read. Well worth the credit.
I have read all David Baldaccis books and this is up there as a favourite.

Loved it

A complex story of deceit & deception by those who really should be incorruptible, but always seem to overwhelmingly think their power makes them untouchable. Outstanding narration with 2 voices & sound effects makes this a very appealing & entertaining story.

Loved it...the narrator really brought it to life...Will is a cool character. Baldacci does tell a good story

Good read

The writing here has every chapter read out like a scene of a movie. Really good pacing and decent story. If I have a criticism I think the women can be a little better written, but just a little.

Another great movie I'll watch when it's made

Love the characters and the story is immersive and entertaining. Love this series of books and engaging narration - with just the right touch of sound effects.

Great story

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is the second book in the 'Will Robie' series. I gave up on the first book after just 30 mins. I flicked thru a couple of minutes of this book. The same boring scary monotones of 'Ron McLarty'.Other book reviewers suggest that this is a great read from David Buldacci. It is the narrator that brings a book to life, and 'value adds' to the experience. Ron McLarty does NOT have this skill.P.S. I absolutely hate "Sound Effects". Save that stuff for the movies and the big screen.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Any additional comments?

It is the narrator that brings a book to life, and 'value adds' to the experience. Ron McLarty does NOT have this skill.I will make sure that any future purchase does not involve him.

Probably a good book, but spoilt by narrator
