A Horus Heresy Collection

The Horus Heresy is a civil war on a scale the likes of which the galaxy has never seen before. After the Great Crusade united the disparate worlds of humanity, the very warriors who made it possible turned on each other and tore it apart. This war was not only fought on a galactic scale – it was contested a million times over in brutal battles between former brothers and allies.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

In the early days of the Great Crusade, anything seemed possible. But the cracks began to show, and things fell apart. This collection focuses on the primarchs, cultures, and philosophies of the Salamanders, Emperor's Children, and Word Bearers – and gives you a view into what makes each Legion unique.

THE STORY

In Promethean Sun, the Great Crusade sweeps across the galaxy as the forces of the Imperium encounter a world held in thrall by the alien aeldari (or eldar as humanity still called them back then). While the Iron Hands of Ferrus Manus and Mortarion's Death Guard battle against the hated xenos, it is the Salamanders who brave the deepest and most deadly jungles, encountering monstrous reptilian beasts and foul witchery along the way. Ultimately, it falls to their primarch, Vulkan, to thwart the sinister designs of the eldar, if the Legions are to liberate this world and bring illumination to its inhabitants.

Aurelian drops in on the Word Bearers following the destruction of Monarchia and the Emperor's reprimand of the Legion. Having spent many long years searching the stars for the universal truths of the cosmos, Lorgar finally comes to gaze deep into the Eye of Terror, but finds that the Eye stares back. Now guided by the daemon Ingethel, he undertakes a spiritual journey into the heart of Chaos itself and sees that the entire destiny of mankind and the Imperium could rest upon just a few nexus events. As the Great Crusade burns itself out in treachery and deceit, Lorgar weighs the cost of his ambitions, and sets his course for eternal damnation.

The Emperor's Children have thrown their lot in with Horus, but their path is taking them into the clutches of the Chaos God Slaanesh. The Reflection Crack'd sees the warriors of the Legion descending into debauchery while Fulgrim's closest allies notice that their primarch has changed, and plot to purge the Phoenician of the daemonic influence clouding his judgement.
