About this listen
A gruesome string of murders gives the Justice Department cause to contact The Illinois Detective Agency. Five men, seemingly unrelated have been found murdered with a Bowie Knife in their chest and the Justice Department doesn’t know what to make of it. Two additional men in Canada were found murdered in the same fashion.
The entire agency, plus a disheveled, funny, little detective from Scotland Yard named Alfie Birdwhistle goes to work on the case. As Duffy, Cavill, Goodluck, Sato, Miss Potts and others spread out to investigate each victim, two common threads ties things together. Each was murdered with a massive Bowie Knife stamped with the maker’s initials of JB and each victim was a teacher.
Joseph Goodluck, Comanche detective and former Army scout, heads out alone to play a hunch. The maker of the original Bowie knife, John Black had made many knives for hunting and skinning. for the Indian Nations.
Goodluck travels to the Pine Ridge Reservation in North Dakota and meets with the tribal leaders. Goodluck learns of a powerful warrior named Hawk, who, as a child, was forced off the reservation and brought to an government-owned, Indian school to learn to be white.
Hawk rejected the idea of the Indian School and once he became a man, he set out to seek revenge on the teachers that abused him as a child. With the number of teachers at seventeen, Duffy, Cavill and Goodluck track Hawk through the Badlands of North Dakota.
Sato, Alfie and Miss Potts set out to save as man teachers as possible and bring them to the Justice Department to answer for their abuse against the students.
The Case of Hawk’s revenge proves the most difficult and bloody assignment ever undertaken by the Illinois Detective agency that gores right down to the wire.
