I'm a former professional organizer...

If it was as easy as 'Just go through your whole house and get rid of things you don't need' then we all wouldn't be living in over cluttered homes! What really hit home for me is all of the benefits of finally decluttering that he talks about- more family time, more free time, less stress, less debt, etc. It's true!

This audiobook is very inspirational. It helps you find your “why” for minimizing. It is also a guide to walk you through the process. I plan on sharing this audiobook with anyone who is interested in minimizing their lives.

Fresh Motivation

Great listen. I’ve been tackling my clutter for a few years and doing well but this provided me with fresh motivation to go through again, room by room. I appreciate the part at the end about maintenance as my goal for this year is to stop stuff from coming IN in the first place.

Very practical advice

I appreciate that the author has divided the chapters into different parts of the house and has given tips on how to tackle them. The personal stories from others were also inspiring.

It should be called “Home Decor and how to clean your house”

I bought this book, because it was claiming to tell how to Declutter home and finances and even mind. But the content is only about home decoration, what furniture to buy and where to place it. How to clean your home and what to use for cleaning. It has nothing about decluttering, except the word “declutter”. I bought it because of all 5* reviews. But Marie Kondo’s book on decluttering is thousand time better and really addresses the topic on decluttering
