great read

this book was a great rounding out of information that you find anywhere dealing with this time period and part of the world. the narrator could have been better, especially with his unnecessary accents. overall a quick and easybread to learn about this subject.

Pleasant surprise

This is a nice balanced presentation of history. It explores the "Good,Bad,and Ugly" on both sides. If you're looking for the usual junk history of good Native American and bad white European, don't bother with this book. You'll find that there's plenty of shame to go around.
