About this listen
With a call from her uncle, Italian restaurant co-owner and investigative journalist Izzie Di Sante agrees to look into the recent murder of an English professor at a nearby college. Izzie is intrigued by the cryptic quotes mailed to the victim and puzzling circumstances. The victim's home has been broken into twice, with no apparent motive or theft, and the grieving widow fears she will be next. Izzie is determined to unearth the missing links and identify the killer.
As Izzie delves deeper into the investigation she uncovers a tapestry of secrets reminiscent of the holes in Chloe's crumpets. Seems she's not only running short on restaurant supplies but also missing critical ingredients in Lashley's murder. Izzie is determined to unearth the missing link and identify the killer.

Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

College Prof Murdered in 5 Star Murder Mystery
I have heard it said that police officers rarely enjoy crime mystery drama movies and television shows that focus on police procedure because of errors. As someone with decades of experience as a college faculty member, I totally enjoyed this mystery where the victim is a small college faculty member. The well loved prof is committed to his teaching and service. Without revealing the solution, I found the story very believable, and the charm and appeal of the characters mean I will be back to read the next book in the series. I must love the series, because I did not wait till the audio edition became available, but did the ebook edition rather than wait. This book appears as part of a series, but would work well as a stand alone book.
Updated: I was gifted the new Audible edition of this book and loved it. Liz Boyer's voice is a perfect fit for the main character. Also, Boyer's other voices fit the characters well. She projects the appropriate emotions. Her enunciation is clear enough that listening speed can be increased without having comprehension problems.

A Complicated Mystery
I enjoyed book four of the "Izzie Di Sante" series as much as the first three books. Izzie agreed to use her investigative skills to look into the murder of an English professor. The characters, their relationships, their business, and their interactions continued to grow and change throughout the series. With each succeeding story, I grow to like all of them more. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. The mystery was very convoluted. I liked the way everything was concluded. Liz Wylder Boyer's narration was great, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.

Very similar to the other books
The story was good but not very different from the previous books. After listening to all of the books, none of them stood out in particular. They are all quite equal with some character development. I know now that I don’t like Brooke!

Scandal
This was a thoroughly engrossing read. The verbal and written threats were scary. The groups tenacity was remarkable despite the danger associated with them. The dirty deeds coming to light were despicable. I enjoyed this rousing mystery start to finish. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

A Scandal of Murder
The Itch of Scandal is book 4 in the Izzie DiSante Mysteries by Christa Nardi. I have completely enjoyed each book if the series. Book 4 has the murder of an English professor in the college parking lot. Also, Chloe and Izzie are going to add wine to the menu at their restaurant. But, not everyone is happy about the move. I believe that this author writes exceptional mysteries. Het characters are authentic and they become book friends. Get a cup of coffee or tea and relax with an excellent audio book. Liz Wylder Boyer brings the story to life.

All In Good Taste: Murder and Food
Christa Nardi weaves an intriguing tale of a cold case of a murdered professor that is unable to be solved by the police. The lead character in the story is an Investigative Reporter who decides to take a shot at it, so to speak, while running a restaurant with her sister. Lots of good food ensues and the recipe for murder is just beyond what seems to be the known facts. Nardi again, as she has in the earlier books in this series, keeps the listener wondering whodunit and who will get hurt as the solution for the case is sought. The romance woven into this book is told and the characters throughout ring true. It is a good story that is worth your time from various perspectives.

Wonderful series!
The Itch of Scandal is the 4th in the Izzie Di Sante Mysteries by Christa Nardi. Izzie is co-owner with her sister of their family’s Italian restaurant and she’s a doggedly determined investigative journalist. The sisters have juggled responsibilities and staff to allow Izzie the ability to pursue stories on cold case murders. Izzie is pursuing a story on the murder of a popular and accomplished local professor. The case brings Izzie and her partner Henry dangerous threats and vandalism, but they persist. I love how the characters are growing and evolving in their personal and professional lives. The performance by Liz Wylder Boyer brings the characters and story to life. When I listen to the audiobook, I feel like I’m catching up with old friends. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

Magnificent! I LOVED this story!
A professor is dead … his wife fears she’s next … a campus is on edge, and the overworked authorities have no leads, so Izzie’s uncle, a retired policeman “suggests” she make THIS the case for her next investigative article … “The Itch of Scandal” is the perfectly titled book four of the Izzie Di Sante Mystery Series, AND it is fantastically phenomenal! Why do I say perfectly titled, you ask? Because the nefarious villain of THIS one will truly make … your … skin … crawl! The plot is engrossing, AND I didn’t guess ahead of time WHO earns the scandalously itchy title! I love how the “sub-plots” of the Cenare Restaurant, Chloe’s upcoming wedding, Brook’s surly resistance to change, and Izzie and Henry’s relationship are deftly interwoven in a delightful dance around the main story of Izzie’s investigation. This rounds out the story perfectly, and makes it seem REAL! The characters developed for Izzie’s investigation are perfection, adding amazing authenticity, their dialogue and demeanor PERFECTLY suiting their assigned roles. I LOVED the balance between action, adventure, intrigue and resolution! The authors vision was dynamically and beautifully brought to life by professional narration, truly capturing every nuance of every character in this magnificent story! “The Itch of Scandal” was sooo good, I just had to listen twice, straight through. I just couldn’t help myself. Five fantastic stars! I LOVED it!
