About this listen
(Genesis 12:7, NKJV, emphasis added)
What are they fighting about? This question was asked in a Bible study at my house not too long after the Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7th, 2023.
The answer to this question is that Israel, and the Jewish people are fighting for their very survival.
This book is about the survival of Israel and the Jewish people.
We will study the history of Israel and Jewish people, and some of the Jewish heroes of the Bible. We will study Abraham, Joseph, Joshua, Moses, David and others.
The Jewish nation of Israel has had to fight for its survival since its inception. Why is this? It is because Satan (Lucifer) hates everything God loves. Israel still belongs to God, and God loves Israel and the Jewish people. That is why Satan spurs other nations to attack them. God is not through with Israel.
29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
(Galatians 3:29, NLT, emphasis added)
17 But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.
(Romans 11:17, NLT, emphasis added)
The above verses of scripture have sometimes been misinterpreted and have led to an error called “replacement theology.” Replacement theology says that God is no longer dealing with Israel, and the Christian church has replaced Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth.
God is still dealing with Israel, and one day Israel will accept Jesus as the Messiah. The truth is that true Christians have been “grafted” into the Abrahamic tree spiritually speaking and will partake of all the promises made to Israel. The Abrahamic tree is Israel.
