Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A great start to a memorable journey
A great appetizer for a much larger world. Can't wait to get more Ike.
if you're looking for a nice break from those 30+ hour listens take a stop here.
only issue is the recording sounds like it was done on a phone. but it doesn't take away from the story.

great story
known as a horror author i wasn't sure what to expect from Z Martin's step into fantasy. I have to be honest. it was amazing. I wish it were longer, which I do thinknhe plans on expanding it. I love the story the world and characters.
Nathan helm is a lesser known voice actor but I see him becoming more popular as time goes on. brilliant performance.

More please!
To begin with, those who have read Journey of Ike know that the only real thing to complain about is wanting more…be prepared to have that feeling kicked up a notch.
All of the awesomeness of the story is heightened by Nathan Helm’s arsenal of voices. If that’s not enough for you, a few effects are modestly applied to accentuate the story. The use of setting sounds at the beginning of each chapter is a delight that helps us engage the scene.
So, once again, we have more reason to shout out: “WE WANT MORE!”

Yes please!
I read this in kindle version originally (also 5 stars) and I absolutely LOVE this book. Everyone needs some Ike! A bonus for me is one of my top three narrators Nathan Helm does the narration in this audible. He gave it an extra star (if I could do ten stars I would) with Nathan’s talented narration.
Anyone who loves fantasy will absolutely love this book in any form.

The characters
Outstanding story overall, the world building was great and I love the characters especially Ike and Elora!! I need more of this journey. Wish it wasn’t so short but that’s ok I know there will be more. The Narrator Nathan did and outstanding Job! Short and epic I loved it. Can’t wait for more.
