Publisher's summary
I've been so careful Somehow my past found me just as I'm sucked into the mystery of a missing woman. Are they related? Is the killer really back? Or am I losing it?
Colette Baker has spent her life trying to stay invisible and outrun her past. Her mother abandoned her as a baby. At twelve, a tragedy in foster care forced her to start over with a new name. She's learned not to need anyone. No one else has ever needed her, until now.
On a cold, foggy Saturday morning, Colette waits for a client. Instead she's handed a mysterious envelope and meets a crying toddler who grabs onto her. Apparently she looks like his lost mother. But where is Brandon's mother? Why does his father, Ray, grab onto Colette like some kind of lifeline and ask for her help?
Even as an outsider, Colette can tell something isn't right about the absence of Ray's wife. What if he's involved? And though it seems impossible, could this be related to the envelope she received the same day she met them?
Too many strange things happen, connecting Rays situation with Colette's haunted past. Could his wife's disappearance actually be related? She escaped from a killer's clutch once before twice would be tempting fate.
Colette doesn't want to lose everything and start over again. But, what if she's putting Ray and his son in danger? Even while hiding her own past, she has doubts about Ray. As more and more dots connect, she questions everything.
What if its all a ruse to push her over the edge? Or catch her in a killer's snare?
Order THE KILLER BETWEEN US to find out!
Handsome guy, wrong situation. Colette can't tell who to trust, who's playing her, and who's hunting her...
You can hide from your past but you can never truly outrun it.

Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Story
Looking out at our beautiful estate, the home I thought we’d raise our future children in, I watch helplessly as my husband Paul takes his mistress’s arm and leads her inside. My heart twists as they laugh together, without a care in the world. If he and Marianne think they can start over without me, they’re gravely mistaken. I worked myself to the bone for him, keeping our home pristine, supporting his art, using funds from my business to keep us afloat. Tears fill my eyes as I remember all the lonely nights I spent waiting for him to come home.

Where are the photos of his friends and family? ‘You can trust me,’ Alex says as he hands me the wine, and my heart beats wildly in my chest. Story
All my adult life, I've longed for a baby. We tried IVF. We tried everything. Now, we're waiting to adopt. We have a beautiful home and all the love in the world to give a child. But we're told it will take years. Then one day, at Rocky Point Beach, one thing leads to another. I make a split-second decision—and I come home with a baby. He has tiny red bow lips and the chubbiest cheeks. He's gorgeous. I call him Jonah.

Story
After my first husband died, I thought my heart was completely broken, and that I’d never feel happy again. Until I met Theo. He’s a doctor. A man who seems good and caring and kind. Soon after we start dating, he says he wants to marry me. And even though his grown-up children are less sure about me, to everyone else it’s the second chance for love and happiness I deserve. But the truth is maybe his children are right to be suspicious. Because I know something about Theo. That he was there in the operating theatre the day my first husband died. And I think it was his fault.

What A RIDE!
From the first chapter I was hooked and couldnt get enough. I even made excuses to take a car ride to listen to it. There are more twists and turns than a roller coaster. It kept me guessing the whole time. This author has something special. You will definitely find this one rewarding!
