Prentisstown isn't like other towns. Everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts in an overwhelming, never-ending stream of Noise. Just a month away from the birthday that will make him a man, Todd and his dog, Manchee - whose thoughts Todd can hear, too, whether he wants to or not - stumble upon an area of complete silence. They find that in a town where privacy is impossible, something terrible has been hidden - a secret so awful that Todd and Manchee must run for their lives. But how do you escape when your pursuers can hear your every thought?

Great road trip family listening

Other characters I enjoyed was Hildy and Tam - how they called all their company 'pup', and some of the other animals there were amusing as well. I also liked how the 'noise' was illustrated, and the narrator is probably one of my favourites that I've listened to.
If you want a humorous story with very interesting narration, definitely pick this one up.
Best Audiobook so far!

What did you love best about The Knife of Never Letting Go?
It's just an absolutely fantastic story, really poignant and moving, with a fast paced story line, that makes you want more. Great depth of character too, very believeable, as they have very real hopes and faults, and I found myself loving them nevertheless.Any additional comments?
Humphrey Bower was an absolutely fantastic reader, he really brought the characters alive, and I think I wouldn't have liked the story quite so much if i had just read the book.Really, really good!
