There were so many errors and different pronunciations of the same word that it took away from the story, even things like “use” being pronounced “us”, French names being pronounced different ways throughout interchangeably which made it confusing at times and hard to enjoy.
As a story, this was different from the first in the series. Same main characters but this was more the feel of Magic Tree House meets Quantum Leap. I did not enjoy it for my taste mainly because very well known historical figures were characters which took it far above the previous feel of m cozy mystery with some suspension of disbelief for time travel.
I really had to make myself finish it on principle. I am hoping that the third in the series goes back to what originally worked the first time.
