Publisher's summary

Harper King is like most humans - she works hard at her job and does her best not to think too much about the Krinar. The mysterious aliens took over her planet five years ago, and since then, rumors have surrounded them...whispers of super strength and speed, incredible beauty, and advanced technology. Harper should hate them, since her parents died the day they invaded, but something about the infamous Krinar fascinates her. Little does she know that the sinfully gorgeous drifter who rescues her from a bar fight will give her the close encounter she's always dreamed of.

Sef is supposed to be infiltrating a human resistance group, not seducing sweet little human females. But from the moment he sets eyes on Harper, he knows he must have her and will do anything to possess her. Using his human disguise, he lures Harper into his arms and his bed. When it's far too late for her to escape him, he reveals that he's a Krinar, one of the powerful and terrifying aliens she's always wanted to meet. He gives her a choice: to save her brothers, she must give herself to him - heart, body, and soul.

Contains mature themes.

10 Stars

Love love love love lovedddd this story! I wish it was longer! I absolutely loved Sef and Harper! I did not see that ending coming! Great spinoff to the Krinar world!
Narration by Justine was great! I liked her voice used for Sef. I usually do not like females narrating for male characters but her voice was perfect!

Happy 😭

I am so excited. That female protagonist has the same situation as me when I started to hear this audible, I started to cry because no one understands not everyone is capable to read words. But we are intelligent from other fields. I want to say thank you to the author. You just made my day a little better when I hear it is book.

I really only wish it was longer!

I love the story about Harper and Sef. the idea of two cultures alien to each other somehow finding a way to bridge the differences and prejudices and find a way to make it work is appealing. The Krinar males hit all the hot buttons, great looking, sexy, attentive and protective along with being devoted, well, enough said. The author and narrator both get raving kudos from me.

really good book!🍇

i enjoyed it and cant complain, i love that the FMC isnt weak and doesn't complain or whine like other females ugh as a woman myself that shit gets annoying. i know theirs women like that but jeez i pray thats not the majority. I understand severe situations bring out things in all of us but , being strong and resilient through it is so beautiful and brave. so i give this a 4 stars just cause I like relationship dramas more and that wasn't really part of this storyline , the sex was 🌶🌶🌶3.5/5 . overall it was really good though.💜

Very good

I truly enjoyed reading this book. The narrator did a good job. The story was a good depiction of how an alien invasion could effect middle America. I would like to hear more stories of the krinar from their point of view

Interesting storyline

Interesting storyline, just a little different than the usual "aliens visiting Earth and taking mates." I enjoyed the different take on the trope.
This is nothing personal against the narrator, but at times I almost felt like I was listening to AI. She had a few different voices, but her cadence at times came across as mechanical. I still enjoyed listening to the story, though, and that is why I gave it four stars.

Satisfying romance with an interesting plot.

I love Emma Castle’s romance novels, and this one is no exception. The narration is just okay, however, and takes away from the story, unfortunately.
