About this listen

Fantasy men do exist - they might not be in your time period though.

Ainsleigh Darling is back at the top of her game. She's got her next album in the can and is ready for a little rest and relaxation before the whirlwind promotional tour. Her intention to take this breather in a Scottish castle, also where she'd finally broken through her writer's block, leads her to the most unexpected place. The Veil is going to take her on a trip to 12th-century Scotland and thrust her into the arms of her dream man.

Adaem MacPherson has lived more than his fair share of life. Born on the wrong side of the sheets, he's been forced to fight for every snippet of respect he could garner. On top of his unfortunate birth, he's also living beneath the stigma wrought from wild words that there's a prophecy hanging over his head. None of it is true, but the mysterious woman who appears in his keep might just shake out the real reason his step-mother began the vile rumor that he's cursed.

Intrigue and danger are around every corner. Can Ainsleigh adapt to life in medieval Scotland or has this once high-flying celebrity finally hit the rock bottom of a grave?

Hello! Producer, mic check!

How could the performance have been better?

This book was ok. The story line was good, it hooked me right away, but from the first minute I knew this book was gonna be torture. Who ever produced this book didn't do his job. The recording is tinny and has a slight echo. And it's pretty annoying that the narrator puts a Scottish brogue on all the characters, including the one from America.

AUDIBLE TAKE THIS BULL__ OFF YOUR LIBRARY PLEASE

This was awful, bad amateur narration which sounded like it was recorded in a tin box coupled with a rushed story (if you could call it that) which jumped from one thing to the other. Could have been written by a 12 year old.

I think Audible should have black stars too for really bad books and narrators because giving it even 1 star is overdoing the reward.

Worth a credit? NO NO NO I WOULDN'T SUGGEST DOWNLOADING IT IF IT WAS FREE !!

Worst book ever!!!

Would you try another book from Belladonn Bordeaux and/or Leagh Bochannon?

Heck no!!! The story line sucked. There was no order in the plot. The narrator was horrible!!! She sounded like she was in the bathroom. And what the heck was up with her brogue? It was horrible! This book had no structure whatsoever. I hated myself for buying this book. If I could, I'll give this author and narrator a negative 20. One star is way too generous.

Would you ever listen to anything by Belladonn Bordeaux again?

No no no!!!

How could the performance have been better?

Write a different book entirely. And also get a better narrator. Preferably one that can actually read.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

All of the above. I was angry with myself for buying this book. So sad that the author sucked. And disappointed that the narrator could not read.

Any additional comments?

Don't get this book ever!!!! Even if you are being paid to get it. Don't even dare.
