Wonderful fun

As with the stories that preceded it, this does not disappoint. This reader adds voices for each character and the plot line twists and turns. Can't ask for more!

Never a dull moment

I really like this series, however I decided to try out the new narrator. I was really disappointed in the style the narration was done. They made the characters seem like they were in their 80s. I think I’ll go back to the original narrator and hope that the rest of the books are available in the same way

Great book but ruined by narration

All the Amelia Peabody books are so fun. You feel like you're sharing the adventure with her. She and Emerson are adorable characters. I wish they were among my real life friends.

A very fun adventure to share

One of her more fantastic storylines but well grounded in local mythology and customs. I am enjoying the Amelia Peabody series even more after traveling to Egypt and visiting many of the sites.

Pure Elizabeth Peters!

I have listened to all five books before this one and really enjoyed them. This book is the best story yet.

Best one yet.

Having a life long passion with Egyptology and the country of which I have longed to see, has been vividly brought forth by Elizabeth Peters again.

I first read this series in 1987, and have read hundreds of books in my life. Usually, not one to read a series more than once, these adventures have compelled me to read them many times. The audiobook series has also kept me coming back again and again. Fantastic for road trips or a rainy day, it’s one that one or any family can enjoy together.

I especially love this installment, the change of scenery and twists of intrigue, will keep the reader enthralled and entertained.

This series is very unique. It reads somewhat as a cozy mystery, yet better. Its replete with whipped cream and the sprinkles of a civilization long revered.

The Emerson’s Ride Again!

Another exciting installment in one of my favorite series. This installment introduces us to a new character who will become central to future stories (no spoilers here). I've read the series before and have been delighted to listen to the stories this time. Barbara Rosenblat is SO good with her voices for the various characters. She is the perfect Amelia Peabody. Emerson, Amelia and Ramses are quickly in danger as they search for new archaeological discovery. This time though, they are far from their normal friends and resources. They need to figure out who to trust and how to escape their situation while solving a mystery and righting wrongs. The story has suspense and lots of humor. Highly recommend it!

Oh, Emerson! What a romp!

What did you like best about this story?

I'm really getting to know Amelia Peabody Emerson and her family and love going on their adventures with them! Barbara Rosenblat is the perfect voice for Amelia.

Any additional comments?

The only drawback to this book is That I can occasionally hear voices in the background. It's a little distracting in a few places but otherwise the recording is clear and crisp.

Another great adventure!

This Peabody is more action packed than some earlier books. I love Ramses and his sweet voice. He is always a step ahead of Amelia.
