Fantastic YA scifi
I loved the journey the author takes you on in this YA fiction. A group of kids grappling alternative ways to play American Football. And what defines sport/sportsmanship. The various aspects of what makes someone human, and what might the role of AI in the future. Definitely recommend this book.
Also the narrator is fantastic (for me a narrator can really make or break an audio book).

Interesting and Captivating
Dude McPherson was a rising star on his ninth-grade team until he was injured, and his influential father arranged to have football banned from his elite school. Dude faces potential outcast status but manages to save the day.
The author, John Blossom takes many young adult issues of today and brings them to the forefront in this futuristic-style story. These issues include bullying, cheating, thinking outside the box, censoring, and finding your own way to name a few. Blossom handles these issues in a realistic manner that is both captivating and edge-of-your-seat tenseness. He utilizes dialogue in an authentic manner to keep the story moving forward. His character development is realistic as well and down to earth. The situations are relatable regardless of one’s age. Blossom has captured and vividly portrayed the issues of teens today.
The narrator, Joshua Martin delivers a solid performance. He keeps the story moving forward at a steady pace with his delivery and cadence. He is appropriately energetic and enthusiastic capturing both the essence of each character but also the storyline.
Overall, this is a great book for all ages; one I found interesting because of how the author presented common issues and ways in which they may be dealt with appropriately – being creative and forward-thinking!
