Publisher's summary

In Brad Thor's highest-voltage thriller to date, Scot Harvath must race to locate an ancient secret that has the power to stop militant Islam dead in its tracks.

June, A.D. 632: Deep within the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca, the Prophet Mohammed shares with his closest companions a final and startling revelation. Within days, he is assassinated.

September 1789: U.S. minister to France Thomas Jefferson, charged with forging a truce with the violent Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast, makes a shocking discovery - one that could forever impact the world's relationship with Islam.

Present day: When a car bomb explodes outside a Parisian café, Navy Seal turned covert Homeland Security Operative Scot Harvath is thrust back into the life he has tried so desperately to leave behind.

Saving the intended victim of the attack, Harvath becomes party to an amazing and perilous race to uncover a secret so powerful that militant Islam could be defeated once and for all without firing another shot, dropping another bomb, or launching another covert action. But there are powerful men who are determined that Mohammed's mysterious final revelation continue to remain hidden forever.

Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "quite possibly the next coming of Robert Ludlum", Brad Thor takes listeners across the globe on a heart-pounding chase in which the stakes are higher than they have ever been.

Brad Thor Always Keeps the Suspense Flowing

If you like Brad Thor this is another great read, and no-one reads better than George Guidall. This is an interesting way to mix history with current world problems - islamic terrorist. As with most thrillers it is a bit un-realistic but I still highly recommended it.

Vintage Thor

Scott Harvath meets the Da Vinci Code. Non-stop action, highly interesting factual background concerning Thomas Jefferson and his dealings with Muslims.

An excellent thriller

An excellent thriller with brisk pacing and a marvelous juxtaposition of modern special operations and plausible historical elements. Thor is rapidly climbing my list of favorite authors.

More complicated plot, but brilliant overall.

Narrator's attempt to portray female voices is absent. Some male narrators do a pretty good job, this one doesn't even try. I am pleased that Harvath has a solid partner in Tracy. Makes the character more complex to have a personal life.

Very good.

Not the best in the series, but worth the credit. A bit harder to follow and keep all the players straight than many of Thor's other books in this series, but very good nonetheless. If you like this series, you'll like this installment.

what a history lesson

This story will not disappoint you! I think this is the best book in the series so far. All the previous books are great, but this book is really special. I can't wait to continue the series. God Bless America and all of our Patriots that protect her!

Incredible thriller that masterfully ties history to fiction

As a Virginia native, this was an incredible thriller that ties Thomas Jefferson to the modern day problem of Muslim extremists and terrorism in an incredible chase across two continents and more than two centuries.
