At last, an audiobook perfectly designed to deal with the common anxieties most people have about handling their financial investments, without taking up all of their time.

In today's volatile market, jittery nerves are the norm when it comes to saving and investing for the future. But with these keep-it-simple, easy-to-understand, and time-tested strategies that, best of all, take very little time or energy to maintain, listeners can relax.

Dr. Farrell has reviewed all of the successful investment strategies and distilled them so that even the most inexperienced investor can plan a successful financial strategy.

After thirty years of investing I finally found this book which agrees with everything I should have done but didn't. In a clear and forthright manner the author has nailed the essence of profitable investing for the average Joe. I've finally taken all of the steps necessary to achieve financial independence without worrying about bear markets which can take your head off and leave you with fifty percent of what you started with. A well written book and just what the average guy who is trying to achieve a certain amount of wealth can easily understand and follow. Just do what he says and you too can beat the big boys.

I learned these investing principals in MBA school (obviously in greater detail). The author provides an entertaining guide for laymen on investing. I highly recommend the book.

enjoy the book. Learned any details that I did not already know. Would encourage new investors to read before getting into stocks or mutual funds.

I bought the book so I could read and listen at the same time and it kept skipping. Sometimes only one line, other times 1 to 3 paragraphs. It’s an easy read. Buy the book & read it. They also skip over all of the quotes. I love quotes, so didn’t appreciate it.

Skips over a lot of the book

This audiobook is basically a 3-hour commercial for Vanguard, which is all well and good, but I'm currently in the process of moving my retirement assets out of Vanguard and into TIAA-CREF, mainly due to Vanguard's lack of client support. I work for a university where Vanguard is offered as one of three options for a 403B retirement fund (CREF and Fidelity being the other two). Vanguard is a great company if you're an experienced trader who doesn't need any outside guidance in your investments, but I'm switching to TIAA-CREF because they offer FREE personal consultations with a financial adviser who can help me optimize my retirement investments (they have a local office here), and they sponsor frequent retirement seminars through my employer. I've never been to a Vanguard retirement seminar, because...well...Vanguard doesn't offer them.

I purchased this book because I thought it might help me with stock investments outside of my retirement fund, but it really offers no such advice. If you have a retirement fund with Vanguard, this is a great book for you. If not, however, it won't do you much good.

Such an Infomercial
