Publisher's summary
As the multiple-award-winning, critically acclaimed, popular “Lorestalker” series comes to an end...
The problem with hunting monsters is that, sometimes, they hunt you.
Miriam and Macy have started to make a name for themselves as cryptozoologists, but they’ve left behind a few loose ends. The two of them move on from college and settle in Rose Valley, where the past comes back with a vengeance.
Once again thrown into turmoil, the town must face an amalgamation of evil that no one could have predicted.
EVOLVED PUBLISHING PRESENTS the sixth and final (for now) book in the fun-filled “Lorestalker” series of urban fantasy/paranormal horror stories featuring creatures of lore and dark imagination.
Critic reviews
“Barnett describes his creatures running rampant with such vivid detail that it is almost impossible not to feel a shiver run down your spine when reading. The result of this balanced mix of mystery, horror, and romance is the exciting reading experience...” ~ Readers’ Favorite Book Reviews, Essien Asian (5 STARS)
“...stands as a testament to J.P. Barnett’s mastery in creating gripping narratives that resonate with diverse readers. This culmination of the ‘Lorestalker’ series will leave fans exhilarated, satiated, and on tenterhooks for Barnett’s next creation.” ~ Readers’ Favorite Book Reviews, Parul Sood (5 STARS)
“...just as thrilling and action-packed as the rest of the series. ... I was both happy and sad that this was the last book for this series. The ‘Lorestalker’ series has been a memorable read, and the sixth book is, undoubtedly, my favorite!” ~ Readers’ Favorite Book Reviews, Cloie Belle Daffon (5 STARS)

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Story
Meet Jessica Jones: retired superhero, private investigator, loner. She tried her best to be a shiny spandex crimefighter, but that life only led to unspeakable trauma. Now she avoids that world altogether and works on surviving day-to-day in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. The morning a distraught mother comes into her office, Jessica would prefer to nurse her hangover and try to forget last night’s poor choices. But something about Amber Randall’s story strikes a chord with her. Amber is adamant that something happened to her teenage twins while they were visiting their father in the UK.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

What a roller-coaster
This was a roller-coaster of emotions and events to come full circle with Miriam, Macy and Tanner. JP Barnett had a great balance of fun, drama, heart and suspense in this volume.
