This book was truly an enjoyable listening experience for me. The author had taken me on a literal “tour” of Mr. Gershwin’s life and I also learned something about his collaboration with his brother Ira (who was tremendous in his own write as a composer of lyrics) and his family. But I have to admit, at the end of the audio book was a wonderful and unexpected surprise: “Rhapsody in Blue” which was and is my all time favorite composition by this most beautiful and prolific composer. It left me with tears in my eyes. I can only sum up everything for you in one word: “enjoy.”

Every George Gershwin Fan should read/hear this book!
