About this listen

In The Light Beyond, Dr. Raymond Moody, the world's leading authority in the field of near-death experiences, investigates fascinating new case studies.

Common patterns emerge from these reports, such as meeting loved ones in the afterlife, being surrounded by a bright beautiful light, reviewing one's life, and being able to view scenes on earth while outside the body.

Moody looks at various aspects of the NDE, including children's reports and those of other researchers in the field. He also examines the positive life-changing effects of NDEs.

An interesting foray into the nuances of the authors other extensive work on the topic. A must read for 'fans' of the NDE topic.

Nice addition to the authors other work.

I read Moody’s original book in 1976. I’ve not had an NDE myself, but a patient I was consulting with, and the subject of NDE came up. He said “It’s hard to put into words, but I’ll say this: if it happens to you, you’ll never be afraid to die,” in the NDE, something I’ve not heard commented on as evidence, is if it’s not real, why would you only imagine seeing family who have died? Why wouldn’t you imagine a living loved one?

Scientific orientation, but understandable

Dr. Moody gives me hooe that death isn't just black nothingness. Our human bodies die but the essence of us goes on

I really enjoyed it. i love NDE's though so that may have swayed my opinion. Also, this is the first book by Raymond Moody I have ever read/listened to.

Great NDE book

This phenomenon has intrigued me for a great deal of my life and I've read a few books on the topic and I'm always moved by the possibility that there may be a deep meaning behind all of these people's similar stories associated with NDEs. I like to keep an open mind and I accept that there's a great deal more of the unknown that we don't understand in relation to the known. The author/researcher does a really good job of providing the readers with a grounded and engaging read. I recommend this book to anybody interested in the topic.

Grounded and engaging
