Excellent story. Narrator’s voicing of Charlie makes her seem trivial and childish. Voicing of Helga-nails on chalkboard. Arabic accents unconvincing.

Narrator’s accents annoying.

The story is great but the narration isn't. Narrator seems to try to differentiate characters but it all ends up sounding the same and her voice gets distracting

Great book, but

This is one of my favorite Le Carre novels. The story had me hooked from the start. Excellent narration.

Compelling story

Soooooooo good!!! A great listen. Le Carré at his best: beautifully drawn characters, well-crafted story. Ando does an admirable job at capturing all the nationalities and traits and performances of the large cast of characters. A bit of patience and you get used to some of the clumsiness. The heart comes through. A very good Audible experience.

Great Writing, Admirably Told

Narrator made the Israelis sound like Germans. They sound mothing like the subtle characyers in the book.

My absolute favorite book
