About this listen

TWO SISTERS WHO COULDN’T BE MORE DIFFERENT. A PERFECT HOLIDAY WITH A DEADLY OUTCOME.

Helen is the older one. The good girl. A devoted doctor trying to cope with the sudden loss of her husband.

Mia is the little sister. The wild one. Married to a wealthy businessman, she lives the high life on his money.

Mia says she wants to cheer Helen up. She’s booked a week in enchanting Ibiza — just the two of them. Helen is reluctant to go. She knows first-hand just how difficult Mia can be, but she needs a break.

What could go wrong?

Helen wakes up with a splitting headache. The worst she can remember. The pain so intense across the bridge of her nose and behind her eyes that it feels as though her skull will crack.

Something bad has happened. Something that can’t be changed. Something that could ruin all their lives.

How far would you go to protect your sister?

A totally gripping psychological thriller perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Jeneva Rose, Colleen Hoover and Keri Beevis.

Selfish Sister

I liked the mystery of the book but did not like the ending. To predictable and did not make me go wow, did not suspect that!

A Riveting, Twisted Psychological Thriller!

Helen Nash … caring, compassionate, a doctor whose heavily invested in her patients, her family and especially her much younger sister… Mia, “The Little Sister”, a “wild child” married to an older man. Mia does what she wants, when she wants, with WHO she wants, and she rarely has a thought for ANYONE else. Surprised by Mia with an all expenses paid trip for her birthday, Helen doesn’t WANT to go, but as always, she agrees to please Mia, but THIS time, there may be … no … turning … back! Twisting? Oh yes! Unpredictable? Absolutely! Engrossingly spellbinding? Oh holy WOW yes! The evil in this one sneaks up on you! The plot starts out so seemingly innocent that at first you don’t realize how truly nefarious certain not to be named characters REALLY are! Then, as the story progresses, you find yourself getting pulled in deeper and deeper … until you’ve been caught in an unbelievable web of deception … which is exactly the authors intention, and it works magnificently! I’m not giving details or naming names, just go in cold, completely immerse yourself in this brilliant psychological thriller and let this spectacularly narrated story spin its web of deception around you! As all is revealed, you’ll have no trouble picking out who’s who, or deciding if they belong behind bars or free! The writing is clear, the flow is smooth, and the story is easy to follow, so have no concerns, sit back, grab snacks, listen and enjoy! One thing that needs to be mentioned is the narration! This stunner is not only written by a brilliant author, it is also a narrated by that same author, so you can be an completely certain that is IS the author’s vision you are hearing, and believe me it is SPECTACULAR! Voicing choices, emotions, consistency, clarity and timing ALL perfect, ALL combining with beautifully clear writing to create a five star across board experience! I loved it!

Sister’s Keeper

A promising novel with an intriguing premise, “The Little Sister” becomes jumbled and frustrating when the suspense should be tightening its hold upon the reader’a throat. Tracey Waples is a gifted writer (and an excellent narrator), and I will pick up her next book. “The Little Sister” begins well, but can’t quite pull off a satisfying finale.

Not for me

Very slow-paced and the 'telling' writing style just made it too dull for me. I re-started it several times, trying to like it, but it put me to sleep every time.
It didn't help that the narrator sounded more like a 'virtual voice' situation than an actual human.
