Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Captivating
I loved how this was such a love story! Hannah and Joshua are the cutest! I felt like I was there in Maine smelling the salty air and tasting the peppermint ice cream. This book was very well thought out and flowed nicely. I hope we see more work from Jon Shannon. Also, I need to know what perfume Hannah wears!

Great listen. Only three hours. Listened in one day while driving. Original plot type. I like his writing style and hope he writes more.

A love letter ❤️
First of all… I was thinking at first this was a story about another apocalypse… and yay - I was wrong! What stood out to me the most was Max/Joshua’s love for Hannah. And I found myself rooting for them to meet again! But also - this is the author’s love letter to Maine. An insiders guide to the little things that make Maine great. You can tell the author loves his life - and everything and everyone that’s in it - and it’s very heartwarming to read.

Fresh and original idea, relly nicely done
I picked this one for my wife and I to listen to on a drive to the airport in New Mexico. it was the perfect legnth to listen to in one go. I was expecting the book to be a good listen to kill some time. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much! What a great little story! Entertaining, heart warming, funny, clever plot, great naration.
I know you're reading this Jon. Please keep writing. You've got at least one fan who is waiting to read more.
Cheers from Red River, New Mexico.

story could of had more to the plot.
I would of went with a narrator that voice wasn't relatively monotone. if you looking for a book to listen while going to bed this is a decent listen. The plot line could have been developed more and could have been a good story. I would of had either a female narrator or a male narrator that could do better at bring Hannah's parts more to life.
