Publisher's summary

Shop owner Skylar Love and her family have lived on the same island her ancestors discovered several centuries ago. Her life isn't perfect, but it's hers. After dumping her lying, cheating boyfriend, she isn't surprised when her brother tries to bribe their best friend to take her out on a pity date.

With plans to build a pharmaceutical lab on the island and move back home, multimillionaire Luke Tanner finally talks Skylar into a date. When the date goes south, and someone tries to kill them both, winning her heart takes a back seat to keeping them both alive while they figure out the mystery of who's behind the threat.

Sherriff Declan Love is a straight arrow. Everything is black and white in his line of work. Using his ability as a human lie detector to catch criminals has made his professional life a piece of cake. So naturally when his sister's best friend, Olivia Parks, starts to avoid his questions and is seen around town on dates with men he doesn't know, he's left with little option but to find out what she's up to, if nothing more than to save her from the heartache sure to follow.

Flynn Love knows a thing or two about women. When he loses a bet to his buddy and is forced to play tour guide and babysitter to the man's little sister, he's warned she can be a handful and is always attracted to losers. Flynn has one job: show her around her new home on Love Island and scare away the creeps while winning her over with his charm. Should be a piece of cake, right? Wrong.

Reed Love is more than a computer genius and hacker extraordinaire thanks to his DNA. He enjoys the quiet of his life, so when his brother calls with a message about an encrypted thumb drive and going underground, Reed is tasked to find the one person that can help save his brother's life.

Boring voice.

They need to hire a new narrator. Robins voice is boring. Her reading is full.

Interesting family

#1 Skyler:

Luke was a childhood friend, who had moved to New York, and made his fortune.
He had come back to the island to celebrate his birthday, or so that was the story.
Skyler had a crush on Luke since forever! Even though he had asked her out, she felt that was her brother's doing, trying to help with what they thought was a devastating breakup with her ex, so her answer to Luke was no!
However, when the truth comes out, well things were looking up, until someone tried to poison them.
Great mystery story.

#2 Declan

For a guy that was supposed to be able to discern if someone spoke the truth, Declan comes across as one who mistrusts everyone.
Olivia on the other hand appears an open book. Someone that has known the family all her life, and had spent a lot of time around them, it should also mean that the brothers should know what type of girl she is, and what type of life she leads, outside the family situation.
So, in saying all the above, I really are amazed at some of things Declan "unravels" in this episode.

#3 Flynn

Flynn comes across as a player, but then again, he seems to have everyone's back. I believe lots of people wear a mask, not truly revealing their real personality to the world, but one that will enable them to keep people at a certain distance. Flynn appears as one of these.
However, Mia is clever enough to see the true nature of Flynn.
Interesting episode.

#4 Reed

This guy is definitely a super nerd, with abilities most computer geeks would die for.
However, he has the ability to not only play it on the down low, but capture the girl that makes his dreams come true.
Good read!

Love Family

The story-line in the 1st two books was so predictable they were boring. Things were a little better in books 3 & 4. If I’d paid for this 4 book set I’d have been upset. Also, the narrative was horrible!

Not my cup of tea

I wanted to give this series a shot, but the dialog was terribly amateurish. I normally enjoy novels with a supernatural element, but I just couldn't get comfortable with it.
