Love is Complicated

Any additional comments?

Love is complicated. No matter how all of us try to make the "right" choices there are so many times, we just jump and hope we land someplace decent in the end. What I really liked about this story was how real these characters and the storyline felt.  I don't know of any person in a relationship who hasn't been tempted to be with someone else. It would be very easy for the author to paint a fairy tale where everyone lived happily ever after.  I'm so glad she didn't. I enjoyed reading this book and trying to guess how it would end. It was a quick read, I read (listened to actually) in one afternoon. Won't give any spoilers here- but I'm glad it ended the way it did and not the other way.

The narrator did a good job with the various voices. It always amazes me when narrators seem to nail the way I "see" the characters in my head.

Complex Lives With Complex Characters

We have a woman who's wondering where her life is going. Then comes along a man who is in the right place at the right time. And then we have another man who makes excuses as to why he doesn't have the time because he's lost sight of his priorities.

To make these complex characters come to life we have Arnetta Ellinwood. The cover is perfect to look at while you listen to Ms. Ellinwood bring these people to life. If not for a last minute decision, I may have missed out on that. I think I made a good decision.

The author has created a couple who just don't seem to know how to connect anymore. Along comes a handsome stranger who seems to be what she's not getting at home. Is it her fault that she's beautiful enough to attract a man's attention? Should her husband know that if he's not available to his family that something's going to happen? Now our author could have left her story getting these people to figure their life out. But she was able to add in an incident that could change everyone's life. It was a great way to grab the reader's attention and keep us riveted until we find out how the story is going to play out.

I have to stop second guessing myself and go with my feeling about whether to listen to a book or not. You just may surprise yourself when that happens. It's also a great way to decide if you want to listen to more books by the author or by the narrator.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

Pretty good story if you don't mind cheating and affairs

I'm really not a fan of infidelity, so this book really didn't do it for me. Granted, it got kind of exciting towards the end. But even the ending left me just feeling like "Huh..."
And the irony wasn't lost on me that the main character corrected her childrens' grammar, yet the narrator couldn't even pronounce the word "ask" correctly. And I just don't understand why people cannot grasp the proper usage of "me, myself, and I". We learn this in grade school people!!
Overall, I just wasn't thrilled with the book or narration. Sorry.

Good!

This was a unique romance and not what I was expecting but in a good way. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. Well written and good narration.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The fact that I was gifted this book had no influence over my opinion of it

A tangled circle of love and connecting.

A tangled circle of love, deceit, forgiveness and reconnecting.

The Love Labyrinth is a love circle of three people that go through a connection and reconnection to find what the heart truly wants – love and companionship.
The Love Labyrinth is a well-written story. The characters re well developed and engaging. You get a good feel for what Noelle is feeling and what drives her to separate from her husband and fall into the arms of another man. It had a good mix of romance, sex, drama, and humor. This book shows you the preciousness of marriage and love and that sometimes stepping away can help you see things clearer and get a better sense of what you really want. Reading through the book you will pick sides and cheer for either Clark or Wayne – who will you choose?

Arnetta Ellinwood did a good job with the narration. She had a clear and crisp voice that was easy to follow.

This is the first book that I have read by Pamela D Beverly. I recommend The Love Labyrinth to anyone that enjoys reading a romance with a happy ending.
