Takes a leap from today's headlines

And comes up with an engaging story. Too much weight placed on short term financial concerns leads to what could be the end of civilization as we know it. It does have champions to save the day and bad guys that are mirrors of some of the decisions government and corporations are making now. This was a short book, but it keeps your interest until the end. I am going to be watching for episode 3.
