About this listen

When Fanny Price marries Edmund Bertram, Susan Price becomes the “stationary niece” at Mansfield Park. With her sister gone, Susan expects that her life at the estate will be serene. But then a horse disappears from the stables, a visitor is murdered, a neighbor dies, and a mysterious family member arrives from the West Indies. The Mansfield Park Murders opens more than two years after Mansfield Park closes, and gives readers updates on the Bertrams and the Crawfords, and answers questions about Maria Rushworth. “Grossack’s writing is spot on when it comes to capturing Jane Austen’s tone and writing style.” Cozy Mystery Book Reviews Cozy Historical Mystery

Ridiculous

I think authors need to stop adding bodies to Jane Auten’s world. This one is as ridiculous as Death Comes to Pemberly but at least that story only had one dead body. People are falling like flies at Mansfield, but no one is actually even trying to find out why. They are just sitting around the drawing room all saying “not it”.

The virtual voice actually wasn’t bad. Not great, but not terribly robotic and even has some appropriate inflection at certain points.
