About this listen
"Of all the heavy metal bands, Metallica are the ones with intelligence. They don't just sing about death; they sing about intelligent things in your life," says an ardent fan.
Metallica, who are unparalleled in the hard rock market, have sold well over 30 million albums. They are a band that refused to compromise. They have stuck to what they know, and they have abided by their own rules. Lars says, "As time goes by, Metallica are appealing to more and more people – it’s great when people get something positive out of our music, because it's not all dark and gloomy."
This is a fantastically revealing audiobiog, during which the band explains how they connect with the fans, discuss their relationship with each other, and share those personal moments. This is not a music release by the artist or record company, and sound quality may vary. We get a personal insight into the motivation and inspiration for Metallica songs and how and why they have always set themselves apart from other bands. "We don't want to be limited - people are welcome to come along for the ride but that ride will cover a lot of ground, musically, lyrically and everyway - we want to make people less narrow minded."
Metallica's Story is revealing and unique and must not be missed by fans, collectors and music historians.

Would you try another book from the authors and/or the narrators?
no, I don't wanna get anything else from the guy who writes books I can finish on my way from home to work (one way). If I knew it's only 42 min I would think twice. I am listening toWould you be willing to try another book from the authors? Why or why not?
see aboveIf this book were a movie would you go see it?

Just an uninteresting interview

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Where to start... um, if it were actually formatted in some cogent way (this is NOT a book, it is merely snippets of interviews). The entire thing lasted about 40 minutes, which is not a book it's a PAMPHLET. It was NOT an audio biography, as it claims, but rather loosely thrown together bits of audio with no chronology, no purpose and no autobiographical detail. AND behind the spoken words there was a guitar loop which lasted THE ENTIRE DAMN BOOK. The whole thing was utter junk and completely misrepresented by the title. It's only interviews with ONE BAND MEMBER, and all from a single session! What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Nothing. This junk has no reason to be an audiobook.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?
Doesn't matter in this case.If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Metallica Story?
I would have cut everything.Any additional comments?
Just call this what it is: an interview with Lars from Metallica. Calling it an audiobiogrpahy is a flagrant misrepresentation. Please refund me my credit.Truly awful
