About this listen

The Miller's Dance is the ninth in Winston Graham's sweeping series of Cornwall, Poldark.

Cornwall, 1812. At Nampara, the Poldark family finds the New Year brings involvement in more than one unexpected venture. For Ross and Demelza, there is some surprising - and worrying - news. And Clowance, newly returned from her London triumphs, finds that her entanglement with Stephen Carrington brings not only happiness but heartache.

As the armies battle in Spain and the political situation at home becomes daily more obscure, the Poldark and Warleggan families find themselves thrust into a turbulent new era as complex and changing as the patterns of The Miller's Dance....

Loved. Don’t like that Steven Carrington guy. I wish Demelza or Ross would give Clowance some of the 411 on him:-)

Where does The Miller's Dance: A Novel of Cornwall 1812-1813 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Miller's Dance is a wonderful continuation in the Poldark series. I just love seeing where these characters go. I never saw Jeremy's escapade coming--how very un-Poldark!

Another winner!

This book takes on the next generation of Poldarks, but I wasn't ready to move on. The ending seemed like the author just ran out of paper. No conclusion.

Not as exciting as previous books.

Loved it! Great narration. Entertaining. Whole series is good. Wish the Masterpiece TV Version followed the books more closely. However, TV version has done done a good job with characterizations.
