About this listen
Natalie loved to make to-do lists and felt a real satisfaction when everything on her list was checked off. This made her the perfect wedding coordinator, but didn't always go over so well with other areas of her life. When Great-Aunt Wanda was alive she'd been almost like a mother to Natalie, whose mother dropped out of Natalie's life when she was fifteen. The first Mother's Day after Wanda's death, Natalie receives an eerie letter from her precious great-aunt with four challenges. Will the always-in-control Natalie be able to fulfill Wanda's challenges, and experience the true love and friendships that are awaiting her, or will she retreat to the security of her perfectly plotted to-do list life and ignore her aunt's challenges from the grave?

The FMC Natalie gets a letter from her deceased aunt with challenges and a prepaid vacation, and at first she's hesitant to go through with her aunts last wish for her. But eventually she decides to take the leap of faith and do it! She learns to open her heart, to lean on others, and to trust God.
She is hardworking and has built this business up for herself and has gone through a lot of heartache and pain in her past. She is very caring and strong and independent.
The MMC Shawn and her romance isn't a huge plot point, but it is second chance love, and very sweet, and he cares a lot about her despite her breaking it off with him sometimes before the time th book takes place. She learns to allow herself to love and to let others in, to trust, and that it's okay to need help sometimes, very beautiful message. The ending was wonderful, with everything coming together to give you a joyous happy ending!
The Narrator Lisa is so amazing! She does wonderful in every book I listen to from her, and does not disappoint. She does so well with allowing you into the minds of the characters through the way she speaks for them. She gives them life, and emotion, even sings at times when needed. She differentiates between characters wonderfully and makes you enjoy listening to the story!
Short and Sweet!

Although this story is short and sweet, it’s full of rich relationships of all kinds: family, friends, and sweethearts. The sense of community in this story is heartwarming; it truly feels like a warm hug.
Throughout the story, Natalie learns how to let go, to believe, and to trust others; lessons that unfold after receiving a letter from her aunt that was meant to be delivered after her passing. Nat’s emotional journey and growth through this story are inspiring.
Lisa’s narration is warm and expressive, bringing each character’s personality to life! She isn’t just narrating, she’s acting it out. I loved hearing the smiles in her voice and, when the scene called for it, the tension. She truly relays the story in a way that pulls you right in.
Definitely worth taking a break to listen for a few hours, because once you hit play, you won’t want to pause until it’s done. A very well-spent 3 hours!

I enjoyed the audiobook read by Lisa Lynn Sandlin, and she did such a great job. She made the characters come to life, even singing parts in the book.
Here is your fair warning: once you start it, you will not be able to put it down.
The character development is good. Natalie is dealing with a lot of different things in her personal life. Seeing her work through her past, to be able to move forward.
The storyline was great. Natalie is trying to navigate the first Mother’s Day after her aunt Wanda died, who was like her mother to her. Her aunt left her with a letter with things to do. I love the whole concept. Watching Natalie try to fulfill her aunt’s letter while being a party planner. She finds herself in trouble in different situations.
The relationship between Natalie and Shawn is a second chance, it is a very low spice.
Martha Fouts did a fantastic job intertwining faith throughout the book.
