Just before Christmas, 1996, a beautiful French woman - the wife of a movie mogul - was brutally murdered outside of her holiday home in a remote region of West Cork, Ireland. The crime was reported by a local journalist, Ian Bailey, who was at the forefront of the case until he became the prime murder suspect. Arrested twice, he was released without charge.

I’ve listened to this account at least ten times. This case has intrigued and bothered me for 24 years- since first hearing of it.

This is a good book however if you don’t know about the awful case, I don’t think you will find it good. I would have loved the author to have made a brief introduction into the case in the beginning of the book.
When this is said, just a few days before I bought this book, I’ve watched a true crime documentary about the case, and I just couldn’t get the case out of my head. So stumbling upon this book I had to read it.
This book is well written even though there is some repetitions throughout the the report.
