About this listen

TV host Eve Best is sitting pretty: a great talk show, amazing coworkers, and soon she'll be waist-deep in lotto cash. But when Mitch Hayes, a national network scout, comes strolling into her office, Eve forgets it all in a sizzling urge to have her way with him. Repeatedly. And it's so not professional to drool.

Mitch needs to sign Eve's show for his network, or else. Fortunately, his boss did say something about "romancing" Eve...and after a split-second glance at the curvalicious woman, Mitch figures he might just have the best job ever.

But can you get naughty with someone -- without the naked truth getting in your way?

Mundane

This story was so predictable that I was bored and had a hard time getting through it. I know romance stories aren't reputed to be intellectually stimulating, but a little originality and some likable characters shouldn't be too much to ask. You can't just string a bunch of sexual encounters together with a threadbare storyline and expect to capture the average reader's attention. Otherwise you might as well just by some porn and call it a day.

The clothed cliche

This book continues the story of the Atlanta television station that began (I think ) with the very nice'She did a bad bad thing', continued (I think) with the ultra dull 'For lust or Money', and now takes lack of imagination to new limits with this book. I know these books are all about the same radio station, even though they're written by different authors, but I'm not sure what order they're intended to be read in - even after having read them I'm still not sure about the order... - which can't be good, can it? It's strange too that the characters are shared by different authors. Strange and also not good.
Anyway - it's a story of deep attraction that is thwarted by business ethics. A foolish non-conflict if ever there was one and so we also have little mini-conflicts tacked on here and there in the hopes that several bad ideas might equal one good one.
I do believe the author has a good sense of dialogue and that her hero is very well put together (both ways) but unfortunately - the narrator is so tone-deaf to humor that the banter never gets off the ground.
In short, the Get off quotient is zero.
Buy 'Burning up' instead!
